two ways to work with us.

  1. 1

    a host brings the night.

A Side A host takes a few hours of your programming: a quiet weeknight or an early slot. They bring the record, the ritual and their guests. You bring the room and the bar.

The host sells the seats and organises the night. You agree a split of the door with the host before it's listed (a common start is 60/40 or 70/30 in the host's favour, after Side A's 18%). You keep everything you sell over the bar.

    you run side a nights.

Your staff host, on your calendar. We list the night, run the guest list and take the booking.

Guests pay your own Stripe account. Side A keeps 18% of paid seats. Free nights cost nothing.

before the first night.

agree five things.

  • The date, the hours and the headcount.
  • The door split, in writing.
  • Staff keep quiet during each side. The bar can serve at the flip and after.
  • Your licence and insurance cover the night. If your insurer allows, name the host as additional insured.
  • Who holds the door, and who can ask someone to leave.

who does what.

Your premises, your licence, your bar and kitchen. The night's organiser holds the door. Side A lists the night, runs the guest list and takes the booking. A seat pays for the night only: food and drink are yours to sell, over your own bar. Side A never sells or serves anything.

Every guest confirms the night's rules before they get a seat: their age, the food and drink rules, and the house rules. Phones away, the album in full, no talking over the record.
